Polar Vortex freezes pipes in Jonesville, NC

This vacant apartment in Jonesville, NC went without heat during last winters subzero temperatures. This resulted in frozen pipes and water damages affecting three units! The pipes froze and burst because the heat had been cutoff.   The water to the unit had also been cutoff but the water supply line came up out of the floor four feet in height before the cutoff!  The pipe froze and burst before the cutoff.  To make matters worse, the water to the entire complex had to be shut off by the city to correct the leak in this one unit.  Make sure your rental properties are protected this winter, and call SERVPRO of Davie and Yadkin Counties for any problems!
